We here at 3000dias cannot stop talking about the issue that is most worrying the globe. Our responsibility is to always provide information focused on health and at this time we cannot do otherwise.
If you are reading this text, you must be more worried about contracting COVID-19 than about your hives. After all, COVID-19 is a highly contagious disease. And this we already know that urticaria is not.
Recently we made a publication talking about our stance as a health cause at this time, saying that we are going to make space to bring serious and quality content, from doctors and authoritative professionals to talk about what has been happening. We already have A LOT OF INFORMATION out there saying a lot of things, at this point we can't be any more noise.
Did you realize how much having ease with communication helped us during this time? In just a few days we already know about the disease, its cause and how it spread around the world and now anyone out there knows that they should take precautions and already knows about the quarantine and its measures for this time.
In parallel, we also see how this ease of communication is giving anyone journalistic power that can be infinitely bad for propagate things that are not true and others that only spread fear and panic.
This time, I would like to encourage you to seek TRUSTED research references so as not to be left out of the latest updates on the progress of the pandemic, but also to turn off your cell phone and silence social media whenever possible, so that your mind can rest. This is so accurate in times like these!
OK, VALÉRIA, BUT WHAT ABOUT URTICARIA IN ALL OF THIS?
Many people have asked me about the issue of patients with urticaria, risk groups and all these things. We did a live recently with Dr Paulo Ricardo Criado, talking about this, and in the video below we answer some questions:
We know that there is NO greater chance of those with hives being affected by the virus. Therefore, we are not part of the risk group.
The factors that lead to belonging to this group of risk, are those that WHO already considers – regarding other chronic diseases, such as diabetes, and also the age group (elderly).
The important thing at this moment is to follow the recommendations for isolation and constant hygiene.
If you can stay at home, only going out if necessary, you will be protecting yourself and many others.
Let's go together?
