Well here we go, my first scare was on 10/28/2017 when I was at work and suddenly they appeared: hives with raised bumps that got bigger, itchy, swelled and turned me into a monster. I went to the dermatologist after going to the ER, because it was so ugly that not even the dermatologist could medicate it. I took a pump of medicine into my veins and went home. The next day I no longer had the hives and the routine would return, when I arrived at work I still heard jokes like “he stopped being a monster” I worked normally until 2 pm after that my nightmare started again, they appeared again and everything repeated itself.
The next day I went to see the allergist and while I was waiting for 15 days to receive treatment, I went online to find out what this strange thing could be.
That's when I found this friend, @3000 dias. When I started watching the videos it was as if the story were mine, it was a light at the end of the tunnel knowing that I wasn't alone.
I went to the allergist and did numerous tests that did not indicate the cause of the allergy. In this process, almost 2 months passed and then the diagnosis of CSU was made. By then I had already taken steroids and gained 12 kilos, in addition to the hives I was feeling unwell, I didn't want to leave the house or even take photos. It wasn't easy at all, in fact it still isn't easy, However, life must go on.
Today I complete 6 months of anti-allergy treatment every day with already high doses and the hives remain here.
Today, at 6 months old, I was at work and right after lunch I started to have a really bad crisis, face and eyes swelling, raised hives appearing on my face – Lord, why does this happen… – I thought.
I had never had it so intense on my face, and I was desperate! They started to come out all over my body, I was shocked by their aggression today. Thank God I managed to get an appointment with my doctor and rushed to the clinic.
Having UCE means we are stronger than we could imagine.
I would like to say thank you and gratitude to 3000dias for giving us so much light in the lives of those who live with this disease.
