Hi, my name is Jayla, I'm 25 years old and I've had Chronic Spontaneous Urticaria – CSU, for just under 3 months. In my case, I made the right choice with the dermatologist who asked me for a series of tests to rule out other diseases, but she already suspected it would be UCE. The first wave of tests and nothing, the second came confirmation.
I'll summarize how I found out:
on one trip my eyes and mouths started to swell, the next day the red spots started to spread all over my body, I got scared and contacted my doctor, who immediately medicated me, thinking it was a food allergy, however, it got better and appeared in another place.
When I got back, I went in search of a specialist, and thank God it didn't take long for us to find out!
I took corticosteroids for 1 month, then the doctor stopped them and I'm taking antihistamines, which luckily didn't have full effect.
I have the disease under control, there are still some spots, but very few. And I’m very grateful to my dermatologist for being able to discover it so quickly, as I see that so many people take a long time to discover it…
