They exist <a href=\"https:\/\/3000diasurticaria.com.br\/en\/classificacao-da-urticaria\/\">various types of hives! <\/a>The two main groups are acute and chronic. And we can say, in general terms, that the risk of the disease lies in acute urticaria.<\/p>\n<p>Acute hives (lasting less than 6 weeks) are usually caused by foods, medications, and other substances. This type of urticaria can lead to serious conditions. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VeCLnKeCXVY\">swelling (edema)<\/a> of the upper airways (glottis, larynx), leading to respiratory difficulty and risk of death<span class=\"text_exposed_show\">orth.<br \/>\n<strong>That&#039;s the red flag for hives!<\/strong><br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p>There is still the <a href=\"https:\/\/urticaria.org.br\/urticaria\/anafilaxia\/\">anaphylaxis<\/a>, which is a condition that affects several organs, which most often causes urticaria, and is very serious.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Anaphylaxis works like an allergic reaction and this is life-threatening<\/strong>. Most of the time, symptoms appear within minutes of exposure to the substance that causes the allergy.<\/p>\n<p>In an anaphylactic reaction, the immune system \u2013 responsible for defending our body \u2013 presents an exaggerated reaction against a certain substance (harmless for most people), causing anaphylaxis.
