I will always highlight the importance of talking about hives here, precisely because unfamiliarity<\/a> is the main detrimental factor in the journey to diagnosis. The internet has been powerful in promoting knowledge about hives. In recent years, campaigns and initiatives have been created to help in this process of providing correct information about the disease.<\/p>\n

I remember when I started my adventure here, as a content producer. You may have already realized that chronic urticaria is a type of pathology that we can live with well when we control the symptoms. symptoms<\/a>. When symptoms are not controlled, there is little alternative: we suffer from sleep quality, performance of common daily activities, and so on.<\/p>\n

Today, most urticaria are refractory, that is, they do not respond to the initial treatments proposed. Therefore, many patients need to resort to the category of medicines that we call biological. This type of treatment is high cost and inaccessible to most ordinary citizens, like you and me. Therefore, we need to reach them through policies that provide us with such medicines via SUS or health plan coverage.<\/p>\n

At the beginning of the year there was a meeting at the ANS (National Supplementary Health Agency) to discuss medicines that would be incorporated into the ROL. But what does it mean? Incorporating a medication into the ROL means that health insurance\/plans must MANDATORY cover the treatment according to established criteria.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Which would be great for urticaria patients, right? So, Omalizumbe (a medicine that treats chronic spontaneous urticaria, UCE) is on this discussion list for inclusion. The problem is that they preliminarily recommended not incorporating the medicine into the ANS ROL. With this we now have a VERY IMPORTANT second chance: a Public Consultation which is an open survey for you to give your opinion. The Public Consultation takes place online at an official link provided by the ANS body.<\/p>\n

The time has come to show that your voice matters! Participate in the Public Consultation<\/a> right now through from this link<\/a> where you can be<\/strong>demonstrate in front of<\/strong> ANS preliminary opinion<\/strong>, which decided not to include the medicine. Do you agree or disagree with this decision?<\/p>\n

Imagine how unique this moment is! A disease that was so unknown is now just a few steps away from gaining more importance, offering treatment to patients who have medical insurance. Maybe you who are reading this text don't have medical insurance, but your voice still matters. This is just a first step towards achieving more rights. By fighting for the entire community affected by hives, we are fighting for ourselves, individually. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Share the link with all your friends and family! Be careful not to get confused when including your contribution in the public consultation. Remember that the ANS decision is NOT to incorporate the medicine. In other words, are you for (therefore agreeing) or against (therefore disagreeing) their decision?<\/p>\n
