This week we received some very good news! And we love sharing good news around here. In the south of the country, in Florianópolis, a councilor was the author of a recently sanctioned law. It is the law that establishes the Dia Municipal da Urticária Crônica Espontânea – UCE, on October 1st in the municipality.
É uma data de conscientização criada em Florianópolis a fim de informar e orientar sobre o diagnóstico e tratamento da doença – que afeta tantas pessoas em todo o Brasil.
We sought out more information from the councilor. Eradio Gonçalves, responsible for the authorship, and we learn that he was inspired by the case of a real patient, his parliamentary advisor, Sangi Martins.
We were very inspired by Sangi's story, because it didn't stop there, it became empathy, a bill and now a fact in Florianópolis.
For 3000dias, it is very important to see initiatives like this, because they undoubtedly create more awareness about the disease in the political and social sphere.
